A Hidden Gem of California’s Central Valley

Located in Old Town Clovis, Trelio Food & Wine serves upscale California Cuisine inspired by the diverse culinary traditions of the Italian Apennine Peninsula and surrounding islands. Since 2006, Sommelier & Chef Chris Shackelford and team have been serving guests creative and modern inspired classic cuisine based on local ingredients in varied styles. We have built our wine list to provide something for everyone. Whether you like wines that are a little sweet, bubbly, light and fruity, or powerful and dry we keep over 900 selections from all over the world. The entire dining room team are acting sommeliers with most of them Certified through either the Court of Master Sommeliers, or the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust. The list is compiled by Lead Sommelier, Gary Darakjian and Head Sommelier, Chris Shackelford.

Our Dining Rooms

  • The original dining room that can seat tables from two guests to ten guests in size. The dining room is kept at 68 degrees year round as it also houses much of our wine used for nightly service. For larger private events this room can be rented with a maximum capacity of 34 guests.

  • In our main dining room we have a four seat wine bar for those dining alone or are looking for a quick dinner while in town. As it is part of our main dining room it is kept at 68 degrees year round.

  • Often used as our private dining room that seats up to 20 guests, it does serve as an extra dining room on busy days that we do not have a private party booked for it. This room has low echo acoustics and has an 86” OLED screen for presentations.

  • When the weather is nice we have a five table outdoor area for those that want an outdoor, alleyway feel for their evening. We can seat parties of one guest to eight guests. During the winter months the area has space heaters.

FAQs

We have a wine tasting group, can we bring our own wine in?

In general we allow two bottles of wine per table to be charged as corkage for $35 each. We will wave one corkage for each bottle purchased off the list. If you plan to bring, for example, six bottles of wine to dinner, please know you will need to purchase four bottles from the list and pay for two corkages. Trelio Wine Club members can contact us for their entertaining needs.

We made reservations for the breezeway, can we switch to an inside dining room when we arrive?

Unfortunately, we only have thirteen tables in the indoor dining rooms. If any of those tables are available, we will try to accommodate your request. An indoor table may not have guests seated at it at your time of arrival, but it will be filled. If we have an open table due to a last minute cancellation or if that party is more than thirty minutes late, we may be able to accommodate the request to change a table.

Where do I find the kid’s menu?

Children are allowed, although please understand that we do not have a children’s menu, booster seats, or highchairs. We are a small dining room and ask that your child is behaved so that other guests in the space can enjoy their meals without any loud screens, or fussing and crying.

Do you allow walk-ins?

If we have space available we will happily accommodate walk-in tables. Please know that we schedule our service team based on the reservations and although there may be a table that looks available, we may not have staffed someone for the evening. It is always best to make reservations

Why is your main dining room kept at 68 degrees year round?

Please know that a large amount of wine is stored in the dining room and therefore is kept at a constant temperature. We do not change the temperature of the dining room so please dress accordingly.

Can we rent a whole dining room for a special event?

We do offer private dining in both of our dining rooms as long as the room is available. Please know that we take reservations up to 3 months in advance and best to book private rooms more than three months in advance as we do book up quickly during certain times of the year.
